October saw my husband and I every weekend clearing nasty jasmine and asparagus weed from not only our section but the neighboring one too, which is vacant. The jasmine was beginning to strangle the forest.
We saved lots of ferns and replanted them about the properties to assist ground cover preventing weed growth. We also removed agapanthus plants while most of them were small and also wild ginger.
We have a large pile of rocks at our entrance way and I have planted out a lot of bromeliads to not only beautify the entrance but to help assist with holding the rocks in place. |
