Jane Harper came up with the idea of landscaping an area of bush land that was completely over run with weeds and invasive privets. Her Idea was to return it back to its natural beauty and replant the area with native plants. The project was in 5 phases, 1. Clear the total area of invasive weeds and privets, 2. Cut in walkways and steps for visitors to transit and appreciate the area, 3, prep for re- planting, 4. Planting working bee for the community to become involved and promote the area, 5. Restore the local nearby steam by clearing weeds and rubbish. Although this was a wife and husband team effort, Jane was the leader and motivator. Rain, wind or any inclement weather she was there. The time line was 6 months but was completed in 3. Cutting, pruning, rolling, clearing, planting, prepping, wading in mud, digging! These are just a few of the activities Jane has done. Often leading from the front the community garden can now boast its very own bush and stream walk (spinney) thanks to Jane my wife my hero!
